v0.14.0
v0.14.0: Glinting wrecks
Some wrecks come down worth grabbing. Tap one before it settles for a lump of scrap.
Recovery teams still pull scrap off every kill on their own. But now and then a wreck comes down carrying something worth flagging, and that one is yours to catch.
Added
- Glinting wrecks: rare salvage you can tap for a lump of scrap. Bosses leave them far more often than anything else, and a boss glint is worth roughly ten times a drone's.
- They are meant to be a treat, not a chore. A glint hangs for nine seconds, waits out card drafts, and is rare enough that nobody should ever slow the game down hunting for one.
- Salvage Beacons research: three ranks that make glints appear more often. It buys frequency only, so a glint is always worth the same whether you own it or not.
Balance
- The Revolver's drum armor is much weaker. Its sealed chambers were shrugging off nine tenths of everything aimed at them, which made the fight read as a wall. The gun at the firing station is still the best place to shoot, but the rest of the drum now takes real damage. The boss has the same hit points as before.
