The satellite program
From prestige 1, kills yield scrap, scrap funds satellite launches, and every satellite in orbit earns flux while you are away.
Perks
- Interest is retired. Passive orbital income replaces it.
- Salvage Rigs. Each rank now adds 40% to flux bounties, up from 25%.
Economy
- Scrap. From your first prestige, recovery teams pull scrap from most kills, and heavies and bosses always pay a haul. Scrap survives prestige. The breakthrough is announced in the new Command Archive, which keeps every story entry you have unlocked.
Orbit
- Satellite launches. Mission select gains a launch run type. Pick a program on the slider, from a long, cheap Standard countdown to a Crash program at four times the price, and everything you paid rides on the run. The launch pad replaces one panel wing, liftoff comes at T-0, and the rocket needs 30 seconds of protected climb before it is safe. Lose the array first and the payment is gone.
- Orbit is permanent. A satellite is banked the moment it reaches orbit. Losing later in the run can't undo it, and the run carries on as normal.
- Satellites earn flux. Each one makes 180 flux per hour, real time, collected when you return, up to 48 hours' worth. Your constellation circles the mission select globe.
- Rising prices. The first launch costs roughly ten deep runs of scrap, and each satellite costs more than the last.
Interface
- Resource menu. Once you have scrap, the header's flux button opens a panel showing flux, scrap and satellites.
- Quieter shop. Buying a perk no longer pops a toast.
