Boss guns locked in

Boss guns can no longer be destroyed, lances hit hard from the first instant, the Revolver keeps one pace, and the camera meets every boss as it arrives.

Weapons

  • Vapor banks scale with emplacements. The cap on vapor banks now grows with your emplacement count, like balloon mines, so a prestiged line screens its whole widened sky.

Bosses

  • Boss guns can't be destroyed. They still take damage, and every point of it hurts the boss: a gun's health drains into the boss bar, and once a gun runs dry, further damage passes straight to the hull. Stripping the guns was too strong. Guns now fall with the boss and pay their bounty and XP then.
  • Hive Carrier hangars. Same rule: the brood keeps coming until the hull cracks.
  • The Revolver. Its guns no longer regrow, since they can't be destroyed. The gun at the firing station takes full damage while sealed chambers take a tenth. Its wave 30 debut is all lances, so every station stop is a full charge and burn; repeat encounters keep the mixed rocket and lance drum. The ring keeps one steady pace for the whole fight and no longer spins up while the boss is being hurt.
  • Lances open with a discharge. A boss lance's built charge lands all at once as a blast at the ground point and a heavy hit to your array, and the burn carries on from there.

Interface

  • The camera meets the boss. On a widened field, the camera glides to a boss's descent lane the moment it appears. Holding a pan button takes over at once.
  • Pan buttons. They only appear when pressing them would move the view, and are now edge tabs that match the rest of the HUD.

Fixes

  • Flame jets. Fixed a crash in the flame effects that arrived with Reduced Effects. Reduced Effects now thins each jet instead of cutting whole sprays.
