The synergy matrix and the Revolver

Every weapon pair now has a synergy, the Revolver boss joins the rotation, new perks bring critical hits, and prestige opens in the shop.

Weapons

  • Every pair has a synergy. The full 120-pair matrix is in: any two weapons can now combine.
  • Tesla Balloons reworked. The chain now relays off the balloons themselves instead of tethering filaments.
  • Orbital Designator. Paints the farthest enemy it can reach, and range bonuses from perks and sites now extend that reach.

Bosses

  • The Revolver. A new boss built around a revolving drum that carries the existing boss guns, regrows the ones you destroy, and revs its core frantically. Chambers are sealed while the drum turns, so the gun stopped at the firing station is your kill window. Repeat encounters spin the drum faster, up to double speed.
  • Rocket turret. A new boss mount that fires RPGs in reverse.
  • Firing tells. Every boss gun glows at its lens and trembles before it shoots.
  • The boss swoop. Bosses patrol at mid-sky and dip lower at each end of every pass, so no fight can stall out.
  • Sieges pay less. Reinforcements that trickle in while a boss holds the field pay half XP and bounty.

Waves

  • A gentler opening. Runs now open with slowed drones, and waves 1 to 5 are lighter: early levels come about every wave and a half instead of every wave, and wave 1's ten drones pay exactly your first level.
  • x1 is a little slower. Normal speed eases by 10%. x2 and x3 are still double and triple it.

Perks

  • New perks. Weak Point Analysis and Critical Payloads bring critical hits, Veterancy raises your damage as your run level climbs, Aegis shrugs off one impact per recharge, and Windfall sometimes deals a bonus hand at level-up.
  • Reinforced Array and Weapon Slots. Reinforced Array doubles to 10 ranks, and Weapon Slots tops out at 5.
  • Starting Level. Costs 800 flux, up from 200.
  • Section chips. The perk shop has chips that jump straight to each section.

Prestige

  • Prestige opens. A new section of the shop trades your flux and perks for a prestige rank, keeping your rank and lifetime records. Rank 1 costs 50k flux.

Interface

  • A new globe on the deploy screen. NASA's Blue Marble land map, a semi-transparent cloud layer, and a rotating scan sweep.

Fixes

  • Gravity Well no longer leads its shots. With the Targeting Computer it was aiming at the edge of the field.
  • Landed tumblers. They walk toward the cannon instead of sitting out of reach.
  • Boss guns draw above their hulls. The drum band was hiding the Revolver's guns.
  • Vapor banks. They draw at the right depth, so boss guns no longer show through them.
